Katherine was the beloved wife of the late John, devoted mother of Steffanie Van Ness and Raymond Ferens and his wife Maria. She was the loving grandmother of Christine Diaz and her husband, Jose, John Van Ness with Barbara Ibaseta and Adrianna, Andrew and Alana Ferens. Katherine also leaves her cherished great grandchildren, Julie and Mark Diaz and Stella Mia Ibaseta-Van Ness and her dear brother Stephan Dmytruk. There is also family remaining in Ukraine.
Born in Ukraine, Katherine came to the US in 1949, settling in Irvington, wher she lived for most of her life. She loved cooking and her Ukrainian dishes were her specialty.
